Pyramid of Success

Image
The Pyramid of Success John Wooden  25 Blocks 1. Industriousness is to be diligent and to be active all the time and it means that you have to be wanting to do something with your life and not just that you will wait for something great that will happen but you have to be the one that is going to try to make that reality happen and you are going to try your best and that you are going to give it your all. 2. Enthusiasm "It is the engine that powers all blocks of the Pyramid. It is why I chose Industriousness and Enthusiasm as the cornerstones of my Pyramid of Success. It is where everything begins." The two cornerstones of my Pyramid of Success, Industriousness and Enthusiasm, provide strength individually but much more strength when combined as one.I described Industriousness: very hard work. But hard work is not enough. It must be ignited, lit afire by something that will raise it to the extraordinary level required for success. That 'something' is your...

10 keys

1. Clarity "Have vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life.  Have a sense of direction and know where you’re going.  If you do not have clear specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do." what this "key" means is that Have vision of what you are doing in life, you must know what you want to be or want to achieve. Have a sense of direction and know what path you are going to take and where you want to end. And how hard do you push yourself to get things done? Wanting to do something and motivating yourself to actually do it are two different things. So, what’s the difference between those who never reach their goals, year after year, and those who achieve one goal after another? Often, it’s their self-motivation. Self-motivation is the force that keeps pushing us to go on – it’s our internal drive to achieve, produce, develop, and keep moving forward. Also with self-motivation, you’ll learn and grow – regardless of the sp...

class evaluation

That I get to play around with the juggs I mean the computers and mr haymore not noticing. What I do not like about this class is that mr haymore talks too much and has an annoying voice. MR haymore needs to be a little more lenient. When I had to do the vocabulary words that I did 151 I think that, that is the most that I have ever done in my life. No I did not there was no use for it I just like to fool around in this class. No because that is just a waste of my time and I do not think that it is useful. I do not think so because like I said before it is just a waste of time I do not have to write something down if I want to do it I will just do it.

5. Seek first to understand, then to be understood" Diagnose before you prescribe." If you're like most people, you probably seek first to be understood; you want to get your point across. And in doing so, you may ignore the other person completely, pretend that you're listening, selectively hear only certain parts of the conversation or attentively focus on only the words being said, but miss the meaning entirely. So why does this happen? Because most people listen with the intent to reply, not to understand. You listen to yourself as you prepare in your mind what you are going to say, the questions you are going to ask, etc
